Hope you all had a good weekend, Monday again...where does the time go!?
Im really tired today, attended a craft fair yesterday and even though I managed to get to bed a lot earlier than I have of late, Im still yawning my head off... must be my age creeping up on me!
I have made this coathanger pretty so I can Hang a first Tutu on it! (from years ago) First and only ... Children and so many fads and uniforms lol. I will have to make a bigger coathanger for the Karate fad lol.
The painted leaves on the flower heads dont look so garish in real life... lol Take care Sarah xx
Im so excited! Im going to a Crafting Party tonight, I have never been to one before... Stampin' Up is the company... I hadnt heard of it until a few days ago, the range is really impressive... there will be a demo at the party, and then I get to play!! yahay! lol
I love scenes like these, fresh linen blowing gently in the breeze, birds, blue skies... Spring really inspired me to create this kitchen wall plaque! I cant wait for the season to arrive, more this year than ever before. Note the bee hives in one of the hanging hearts... I would love to be brave enough to keep my own little bee homes! Hope you like it. Sarah xx Hanging about 15" long and 7" wide

Not quite brave enough yet, bit chilly so I have made something plant related! lol My new collection of plant buckets Its originally a steel bucket I have embellished and varnished it... distressing along the way. Hope you like it Sarah xx
The next piece of my Victorian Collection A mini Heart Wall Plaque Instead Of Wire I Hung This One With White Organza Ribbon. I distressed with Gold ink on the sides and the back too... Why the back I dont know, lol, I just love everything perfect! Sarah xx
Im so thrilled!! I have just been given an award for my Blog! Its been given to me by the lovely Dorothy from neverenoughrubberstamps who has a wonderful blog. Thanks again Dorothy xx I am sharing my award with 5 other people (I only wish I could share it with many more, so many lovely blogs & lovely people)
Hi everyone! Hope you have a peaceful happy sunday!
Today I am blogging for a lovely lady who is in the process of planning her very own web site!
Her name is Kim Yorke, She leads a very busy life but always finds time for creativity! She has a passion for hand made jewellery and loves that every piece is unique. She embraces a new challenge when someone asks for that one off design be made, and her creativeness flows!
Anything you would like to ask Kim or maybe get your heads together and create that special piece just for you, you could e mail her at email@example.com.
Delicately strung Rosebuds into a heart shape and hangs from Rustic String. I cant believe the amazing scent that is being produced from these dried Rosebuds, Im so please with the end results, the colour remains vivid too. Another addition to my Victorian Collection. Hope you like it. xx
This is my (still keeping in with this weekend of love!) Victorian Angel Hanging Heart The smaller pic shows A new technique how I applied finer sparkles to my finishing. I just love her face, her eyes draw me in... hung with rustic string. Hangs 13" Long
In the keeping of the Romantic Mood. This is my Victorian Double Heart Wall Hanger In my mind I wanted to create two hearts beating as one. Made from wood, using many layers of paints, inks & varnish to complete. Hangs with brass wire. I then distressed a clay leaf to embellish, to signify love sealed. I love working with wood I find it so satisfying and rewarding.. Sarah x
Ive started getting ready for Easter... I love making these Hanging Happy Chicks and layered hearts, in the centre of some of the hearts Ive finished off with some gorgeous little 'sea shell' buttons that I had forgotten all about.... I love findings!
A part of my new collection... A wooden keepsake box with a brass clasp, I mixed several colours together to achieve this colouring... and then spent hours (lol! literally) distressing the wood, I painted the cherries and attached them with some copper wire. Im really pleased with the result, hope you like it!
Will be putting my new items onto the web site, I hope the photos look good! Any tips would be very much appreciated.
Wouldnt it be lovely if the lady on the till at the Asda asked "would you like some help with your web site photos" instead of "packing".... it would be really good and my bread wouldnt get squashed under washing up liquid!! lol
The lovely Alison (polly-anna patchwork from forum) organised a charity craft fair in aid of the NCT in Stafford, considering she only had a couple of weeks to sort everything out and is glowing with 'soon to be mommy for the 2nd time' joys, she did really well.
On arrival we had a lovely hot cup of tea made for us, I wish I could say that about every craft fair I attend!
I had some lovely feed back which was pleasing, you put so many hours into your creations its nice when someone appreciates it, most pleasing was the responses I received about my new Victorian line, pics to follow when collection is complete.
I met a couple of lovely ladies also from the forum Carol and Jackie who both create beautiful Jewellery, I really enjoyed the 2 hour bash it was relaxing and friendly, and to top the morning off I arrived back at 1pm to a clean & tidy home, yipee! Bless him, I wanted him to have his picture taken with the hoover so I could upload and show you but he refused... point blank! chicken!
